Both Jo and Ann managed the walk to Logrono today, a walk of about 18 miles. Unfortunately by the end of the walk Jo could hardly move as her back was so bad. Again she had a massage but could hardly get onto the couch.
Believe it or not we are celebrating our 60th birthdays this year and they fall within ten days of each other in July. So we decided to set ourselves a challenge; walking the 500 miles of the Pilgrim's Way. We are setting off from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on the French side of the Pyrennes on May 8th and we hope to get to Santiago do Compostella some time in the Middle of June.
We also thought that all this effort shouldn't just help us to achieve an ambition but should also help others, and so because we have both had connections with Myton Hospice over the last few years we decided to raise money for the Hospice. We hope that you will give generously so that others will benefit from our endeavours. If you would li8ke to sponsor us you can do so by going to www.justgiving.com/800km
We hope you enjoy reading our Blog which Martin is compiling from our texts and phone calls.
